WELCOME TO THE CYBERSKY … KIDS!!

Cybersky Kids Channel is up and running. It now has several videos of music, videos and performances, all from the students of Mr. Cybersky. Make sure you subscribe and check back often, as more videos will be uploaded, including student-made beats, “Where are they now?” videos about what former students who are now adults are doing today (my first elementary students are now 38 years old!), music videos, documentary footage of them in Mr. Cybersky’s class years ago learning music, technology, Rubik’s Cube and more!!

INTERNET IS THE NEW DEMOCRACY: CYBERSKY RANT #2 (GINA CARANO, CHEADLE, BETSY DEVOS, ELON MUSK, TRUMP, BIDEN) … is my second RANT and I’m pulling no punches. We need to harness this #CancelCulture movement for good. Yes, cancel the Harvey Weinsteins and other celebrities who have done wrong, BUT can we please start using the INTERNET to #cancelBetsyDevos, #Cancel corporations that defraud citizens and politicians we need #OuttaHere ??

During the Rant you will learn about how a petition on Change.org calls for Don Cheadle to replace Gina Carano as Cara Dune in the Mandalorian, how Betsy Devos and Donald Trump defrauded Americans trying to get ahead by going to colleges that lied and said they were accredited, just to get people’s money and my suggestion for future politics and elections, since anyone can now just say a ballot box or voting machine was “rigged”.

I also rant about Wallstreet Bets, Elon Musk influencing the Stock Market, Crypto Currencies such as Dogecoin and mention Aziz Ansari and Louis CK.

Not everything I say here is serious and you should have your sarcasm meter turned on, but some of it is and I would love to hear your feedback, suggestions, what you agree or disagree with and who you think we should #Cancel next!

Quicktime For Screen Recording – Easy Peasy! (2020)

Welcome to the CYBERSKY … LET’S LEARN SOMETHING! Using Quicktime For Screen Recording (Easy Peasy!) is an excellent way to record what you are doing on your computer, create a tutorial, a lesson for students, a presentation for work, a video for Tik Tok, Youtube or Instagram and much more. The possibilities are endless.

Since I was demonstrating Quicktime Screen Recording, I couldn’t actually use it to record this tutorial. What I did is set up my Samsung Galaxy Note 9 on a tripod in front of my MacBook actually film my screen. You can see the improvement in quality when I play back the actual Quicktime Screen Recordings I made.

Quicktime For Screen Recording - Easy Peasy! (2020)Screen recording using Quicktime is much better than filming your screen with a camera. Let me know what was helpful and what I could explain better. I am relatively new at this, building my channel one video at a time.

The (Complete) HISTORY of RUBIK’S CUBE – Pt2, continues where the [Complete] HISTORY of RUBIK’S CUBE – Pt 1 left off. You know my motto – Let’s learn something!

This is part of a RUBIK’S CUBE SERIES on Cybersky Videos. More Cube videos with solutions, tutorials, explanations, reviews, puzzles and history on the way.

I have been using Rubik’s Cube in the classroom for about 4 years. I solved the cube as a kid, but now in my 40’s have a renewed appreciation for this mathematical puzzle!

While learning various methods of solving 2×2, 3×3, 4×4, 5×5, 2x2x3, 2x3x3, X-Cube and other puzzles, I’ve done a lot of youtube surfing, looking for answers. I noticed that a lot of Histories of the Cube on youtube are entertaining and give the basics, but did not go into as much depth as I wanted. So I set out to make a “complete” history.

The [Complete] HISTORY OF RUBIK'S CUBE - Pt 2Of course mine is not complete either or else it would be a 9 hour video! But I did include several things I thought other videos left out. This is COLLEGE LEVEL – not kid’s stuff!

Because it is so detailed I used animation, effects and some existing video footage (used with permission or Creative Commons), to try to keep it engaging. I hope you like it.
